In this 4 hour workshop, Whitney will be guiding painters through creating their very own painting of translucent glass in an Alla Prima technique. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own print out of a reference image, or they can choose from the reference images provided by Whitney.
There will be live demonstration and individualized instruction. By the end of the event, attendees will come away with a greater understanding of the features of oil paint, color mixing, color theory, palette organization, creating depth, best practices for approaching a new painting and a completed painting to take home.
The techniques learned in this workshop can be taken back to your studio and applied to any painting!
